all i'll say is this: i'm looking forward to liezl's pictures of that crazy-ass show, and BAD NEW BEARS wasn't that bad of a guess when we were running down sports movies that featured jack warden, because he played the walter matthau role in the tv version.

The audience member who correctly guessed Graham Elwood's movie got a diaper bag that failed to function as a laptop bag.
Graham Elwood makes a grand entrance as Doc Brown, half chicago cub, half goat.
then demonstrates what a cocksucker is.
The girl in the front row isn't amused. at all.. and leaves during Graham's set.

As Graham approaches the front of the stage, Doug spits water all over Graham's face.
Graham responds by miming pissing on the stage.
Then accidentally knocks the Leonard Maltin book perfectly into the puddle he created.
In turn, a full blown water fight takes place on stage and Doug kicks Graham out of the show.
(he returns later to comment on his film, The Natural, and Benson's pick, The Fan.)

as i mentioned at the top of the show, i told L.A. WEEKLY that the INTERRUPTION features comic friends of mine like sarah silverman, brian posehn and patton oswalt, key word being: like. but the blurb that appeared about this week's show listed those three titans as if they would actually be there. so the audience consisted mostly of TBI first-timers (aka starfuckers) who, while mostly a great crowd, included the girl who first got up and left after i had been on stage for about 30 seconds, and then left again during graham's "set," to be followed out moments later by her boyfriend and/or gay pal.
it was a great night of weirdness, and i hope a more TBI format-friendly crowd shows up for the next show in our new time slot, the second monday of each month at 11:00pm. scheduled to appear next week: aziz ansari! and more!

Did you get the show at 11 so you wouldn't mind going over the show limit because your not holding anybody up?
I don't know what that girl and her buddies expected, but it was funny to see her face melt every time Graham said cocksucker, then later mime what a cocksucker was.
That might have been the tipping point for her.
It was a strange crowd on top of the LA Weekly misprint, there were some people in line tonight expecting to see a Harold show.
Is that your way of saying that Sarah, Brian and Patton will be there?
I heard Seinfeld's going to be there.
