Thread: DVD Deals

    Re: DVD Deals

Half.com is a really great place to buy large bundles of used dvds. If you buy multiple items from the same seller, it's $3 shipping for the first item and $1.89 for each additional item.

For example, I recently purchase The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou, Kids in the Hall-Season One, Elf, Raging Bull, About Schmidt, and SNL-Best of Phil Hartman for less than $20 delivered.

Also, you can find great deals on new stuff there as well. I recently found the Newsradio Complete Series for $29.99 shipped.

Also, Big Lots will occasionally be good for a great DVD find. Most stores have big bins of $3 DVDs. If you don't mind sorting through the dreck, there are some great deals.

    I have recently found:
    Lucky Louie: Season One
    Action: The Complete Series
    Dog Day Afternoon
    Adventures of Baron Munchaussen
    The Apartment

They also have a bunch of other neat suff: loads of HBO Standup specials, Errol Morris documentaries, indie movies that you wanted to see when they first came out but never got around to, etc...

Amazon has a TV on DVD sale going on.

The Simpsons seasons 1-10 are $13 each. I just picked up 4, 5 and 6. Am I cool yet?

Pretty much everywhere has a similar sale to that right now. $12.99 at Best Buy. $13.99 at Target, and $15.00 at Walmart.

Yeah, I was at Best Buy yesterday and was surprised to see them selling stuff like Arrested Development and Family Guy sets for $12.99.

I only have 12 dollars to burn. Hmmm, 20 hours of a television show or a 90 minute ashton kutcher movie. Choices.

Oh, and Barnes & Noble has a Buy-2, Get-1-Free deal going on with all of their DVD's, but the only reason they can even DO that is because of how goddamn overpriced all their stuff is. So, basically, you'll be paying the same amount you would be even if you WERE buying all three DVD's.

    EDIT:

HOLY HALF-OFF BATMAN! Looks like I'm finally gonna' get The Sopranos! As in, I'd better get it now.
