Thread: This is the new games thread

btw my fave feature of gamefly is the Keep It option- if you like the game you can hit Keep It on the site and they'll charge the used price and send you a brand new box with all if the trimmings (manual, adverts, even nintendo reg. codes). I really wish netflix did this.

I even got lucky once because I rented Rez and this was when it was going for z lot of dough on eBay - they only charged me like 20 bucks. of course the USPS lost the game so my luck turned bad, but still

*i'm on an iPhone btw sorry so sloppy

I'm actually just waiting for Netflix to move into the video game market. It's gonna happen pretty soon.

Yeah, outside of Broken Steel with the level cap increase, Point Lookout offers much more content than the other two expansions, and most of it is fun too! The inbreds that inhabit the area yell "Pineapple!" when you throw a grenade at them. I would recommend it.

Fallout 3 and Wii Fit are pretty much my only games this year. What's the best stuff that's come out for Wii, DS, PSP, and 360 the first half of this year? Ghostbusters? GTA Chinatown? Is Conduit for the Wii any good?

As far as games for the 360 goes, I think Red Faction has sadly been overlooked by a lot of people. It has an awesome open world single player, a ton of really fun online multiplayer modes, and also a cool pass-the-controller mode for when friends are over. The destructability in it just doesn't get old. Plus if you look around you will probably be able to snag it for $40 because Amazon and Newegg have been shuffling it back and forth between 40 and 60.

Also Protoype is an excellent rent.

I've been having all kinds of fun with Henry Hatsworth and the Puzzling Adventure, but I can NOT get past the first stage of level five. There's no upgrade or power-up to make the wall of spikes stop moving from left to right.

My only gripe with Assassin's Creed was a lack of variety in mission types... They're are now going to be around 20 different varieties and it's not structured in a "do 4 to unlock the assassination" way anymore. They've also made it so you can do kills from a lot of different angles, and from greater heights. I really loved the first one, it just got a little repetitive... it looks like they really listened to people in regards to the sequel.

Is it too early to know if any stores will be giving out extra stuff if you preorder Brutal Legend? This will be the first game I ever preorder. I might even buy one of those ripoff limited edition things.

Sometimes I read this thread and think you guys are just making up fake game names as a prank, and this is one of those times.
