Okay, I'm revealing our first act of this show, Mr. John Oliver. I've been a big fan of John's since the first time I saw him do standup, in the back of the Parkside Lounge in the LES. And as anyone who's seen a show there can tell you, if you can cut through the atmosphere of THAT place and make with the funny, you've got the comedy skillz.

Here's some video of John at work:

Revealing our second comedian of the show. Her name is Kristen Schaal, and I've known her for a really long time. You have no idea how glad I am to see someone with such a unique and exact sensibility making it in this biz. Here's a clip of Kristen from the Secret Policeman's Ball. Hilarious:

Caroline Rhea is hilarious, and a really nice lady. Like everyone else on this show, she could headline this benefit all by herself, but she's very kindly donated some of her time for this cause. In addition to all the other credits I listed in the show listing above, she also had her own talk show, "The Caroline Rhea Show," which she took over from Rosie O'Donnell. Below, here she is interviewing Eddie Izzard. And then below that she deals with a rowdy audience. Very funny.

Our next headliner - Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. Do I really need to sell you on this? Triumph is amazing. And really, where else do you get to see this guy live and physically in front of your face? I'm excited.

Here's my favorite Triumph moment ever:

Re: 12/08 TYF! Benefit! w/ TRIUMPH THE INSULT COMIC DOG, JOHN OLIVER, SCHAAL, RHEA,

Our next headliner: Mr. Todd Barry. Todd is like a fine white wine: dry, crisp, and just improves with age. Here's the appearance on "Late Night w/ Conan O'Brien" that led to Todd's one-man show, "Icky." I did tech for that show, and saw this clip about five hundred times. I literally just laughed at it again:

And here, Todd teaches you how to refill your soap dispenser:

Re: 12/08 TYF! Benefit! w/ TRIUMPH THE INSULT COMIC DOG, JOHN OLIVER, SCHAAL, RHEA,

I totally just filled up my soap dispenser... and the soap in his hands sounded mildly inappropriate. I will definitely try to make this if I can get there in time from work. Got a lighting gig that day... It IS a sick line-up.
