Paul F. Tompkins' second album, "Freak Wharf," will be released on December 1st by AST Records. The much-anticipated follow-up to 2007's "Impersonal," "Freak Wharf" was recorded at the Lakeshore Theater in Chicago on St. Patrick's Day weekend and finds Paul as loose and sublimely silly as you've ever heard him. Featuring favorites like "The Sink and The Mirror," "Cake v. Pie" and "Go Ask Alice," the album also includes less structured moments, including the sprawling 15-minute riff that opened the Lakeshore show. "Freak Wharf" will be available in select stores, at astrecords.com and, of course, on iTunes -- but something tells me you're not going to want to miss the special CD packaging... Look for presale info here soon.
