Thanks, Jouster!
Thanks, Jouster!
I don't even remember how many times I've seen Matt perform, but his CD recording was definitely the cream of the crop and done amazingly.
Looking forward to playing the f*** out of this on the show!
Breaking news!
As my album is coming out tomorrow, I thought I would clue all my pals on AST in on the latest. My album is, officially, digital only. BUT I am having Comedy Central press up about 1,000 copies of it on vinyl. Yes, vinyl! Each copy will have its own download code and I'm gonna be selling them for $10. Yes, me myself. I will do my best to put them in independent record stores (and the UCB, etc), but mostly I'll be selling them at shows I do, weddings I attend, bars I'm drunk at, etc.
The vinyl copies of Soak Up the Night will be available around early August. I'm out of town most of July, so I'll be having some kind of record release party in Los Angeles sometime in August. I'll let everybody know when and where when I figure that out.
Thanks for all the support, everybody.
How can I get one of those vinyl copies if I am 3,000 miles away?

Um, have your local record store contact me (I guess)? Still figuring this whole thing out.
Awesome album. Everyone should get this. Legally.
Bought this on iTunes this morning before heading out the door and listened to about half of it already; awesome stuff.
I was totally embarrassing myself on public transit this morning.
"Doors Whopper" completely killed me.
Also, however this was recorded, it's one of the best sounding comedy albums I've ever heard. Just enough reverb to make it sound like you're in a club, but still crystal clear. Great job on the tech side.

Matt,
ask Aquarius in San Francisco to help you out. Vinyl friendly and they do worldwide mailorder!
Bought this off of Amazon and I keep having to cough to cover up my laughing fits because I'm at work and a professional.
DOWNLOADING NOW!
I really liked this album. Congrats, Matt.
This is an excellent release!
Thanks, everybody! I just looked and I've cracked the ten top on iTunes' comedy albums. Again, thanks! Wow.
Congratulations Matt!
I think it's funny that the track after 'Doors Whopper' is the one about not being able to get little snippet of songs out of your head because for the last 24 hours I can't stop thinking of this one verse, over and over...
"Eagle on a Cowboy's back, MAKING CHILI..."
It's driving me INSANE.

Eggly Bagelface was apparently the name of a band that the drummer for Mr. Bungle, Danny Heifetz, was in before he joined Mr. Bungle.
There's also a 27 year old guy named Eggly Bagelface on Myspace, but I can't tell if that's his real name or he's just a fan of the bit.
His name is Jason, according to one wall post.
