I, too, eventually won, and everybody knows I am great.

We're all winners, Aaron1933, and you're King Winner.

I liked that post because you called me King Winner.

YES! After Darryl's Pro Tip, I quickly made it to this point and lost about six lives in this exact spot. One of the times I made it past that pit only to get exploded by the big mouthbreater in the top right EVEN THOUGH I TOTALLY DIDN'T TOUCH HIM!

I wish I could play the entire game but I fuckin suck at video games and I can't get past the third level.

One of you tech-savvy nerds should record the entire game being played and post it on the youtubes.

Does the game include Jesse Thorpe and Jesse Jordan?

This game is so fun it makes Sonic 2 look like Sonic and Knuckles.

    This spam is strangely poetic.

I love it, but unfortunately I am terrible at any sort of video game. Perhaps I can con my younger brother into playing for me and I can just watch...

I'm actually pretty surprised to find that there's a lot of folk on the PA boards defending JJGO.

REading this made me uncomfortable. I hope its meant with a wink that I'm not picking up on. I can see the humor in the comic, being interviewed in someone's house is unusual. Even Jesse has kind of made this joke about himself. The blog post seems really insulting. I'm surprised that the PA guys, who've made their names through internet media and building a like minded community of fans, aren't able to show JJGO, guys doing the exact same thing, even a little respect.

Here's what Jesse had to say about it over on the MaxFunForum:

They're on book tour, and their publicist sent me a pitch for them. I said it wouldn't be right for TSOYA right now, but I knew they were friends of friends and perhaps they'd like to come on our podcast-only comedy show, Jordan Jesse Go.

Then my email went down (it was down the whole time the forum was down).

The publicist suggested a time, and Jordan agreed to it, not knowing my email was down. He mentioned it to me on Thursday, and I was like, "well, OK, let's do it," and I confirmed a time with the publicist for Friday.

They came half an hour before the time I'd confirmed with the publicist. She had suggested 1 and said they could push it back half an hour, I had confirmed 1:30 with her (which was the earliest Jordan could do). Their schedule said 1, so: not their fault. I thought they were just early until they mentioned that they were scheduled to leave at 3. (JJGo is usually a two hour record). I had rushed from a voice-over session in North Hollywood to be there and set up for the show, so it's possible I was a bit out of sorts, but our interactions were pleasant.

Meanwhile, Jordan got stuck in traffic coming from Fuel (which is about 40 minutes away) and was about 20 minutes late. They were playing with the dog, etc. While we waited, they asked me what kind of show it was, and I explained that it wouldn't be an interview, that we'd talk a bit about the comic and PAX, but mostly it would be them as sort of guest panelists on our comedy chat show. I told them we'd get them out by their hard out at 3, no matter what.

They apparently weren't prepared for the kind of show it was, or that it was at my house. They seemed a bit put off by the whole book tour thing. I dunno what to say. Totally our fault that Jordan was late, compounded by the publicist not updating their schedule. And as for the rest, yeah... I dunno. Wasn't our best show, but I didn't expect what I saw on their site.

We decided not to post it immediately because we're going on Carolla tomorrow, and wanted one of our better shows (like the Xeni show from last week) to be at the top of the list when Carolla listeners checked out JJGo. Not sure what we'll do with it now. I haven't talked to Jordan about it (he's at work), but maybe we'll put it up as a bonus episode or something like that. There's nothing I'm embarrassed about in the content of the show.

Generally it would be called a collision box, a touchy place is in your pants.. or your heart.

Well, from a complete outsider looking in who also has a similar podcast recording in the same "Out of a studio in a house" situation:

The Penny Arcade guys are quite open about their anxiety disorders. While they have become quite good at getting the media's attention for charitable good and personal financial gains, I don't seem them as the kind of guys who can just sit in a new environment and shoot the comedy shit with someone they just met. Even when they were on a show like Attack of the Show the other night they seemed nervous or put off.

However, the main page blog post does come off heavily as someone trying to make an excuse for his poor comedic performance on said show. Instead of just owning up to having personal issues and boundaries that need time and a level of comfort to break through, he hid behind a smug sense of "I took part of the most boring thing in the world of boring ever and was so bored while doing it."

That and the fact that he only linked to MaximumFun like 10 times, effectively wanging their bandwidth.

I'm glad to hear that there are people on the PA Forums sticking up for JJG. It really does seem like a person who is a bit shy and feels safest in his bubble being forced out of his comfort zone on a show format he wasn't prepared for and, instead of chalking it up as a life lesson learned, attacking it.

Indeed, do a bit of research and know where you're heading, if not then don't be disappointed with anyone but yourself if you don't enjoy the experience. And then don't make an ass of yourself by calling out the host who brought you on his show to promote your product.

Look no further than any single episode of JJGo to hear Jordan and Jesse's patented bulldoze over the guest stylings. I too might find it awkward as a guest if I didn't know what to expect, but it makes for a great radio show - "carefully manufactured artifice" or not.

I mean seriously, what about the carefully manufactured artifice of their whole medium... the comic strip. I'm astounded!

Jesse's post over on the PA forums. Ever the gentleman, though I do kind of hope this becomes a wrestling storyline where JJ play the babyfaces and PA are the heels.

Hopefully folks can take the whole thing with a grain of salt.

My site is getting hammered right now, but if you want to check out our shows, here's The Sound of Young America in iTunes Past guests (in my home) have included Jenna Fischer, Michael Cera, Henry Rollins, Harvey Pekar, Daniel Clowes, The Flaming Lips, etc. Here's the iTunes link for Jordan, Jesse, Go!. Past guests have included John Hodgman, Jonathan Coulton, Xeni Jardin, Rob Corddry, Paul Scheer, Rob Huebel, Nick Hornby, etc etc etc.

And yeah, sounds like the guys were having a bad day, so... I dunno what else to add. I'm wearing a bow tie right now, and it looks great. And in reference to the David Sedaris quote up-thread (he's never been on the show, but his sister Amy has)... while I wear a bowtie regularly, I have diamond-hard boners pretty much whenever I want. So that's not really an issue for me .
    The Boner Society rises again!

This reminds me of Bill O'Reily trying to insult Jon Stewart's news reporting integrity.
