  1. Re: Your Body Is A Failure (the medical maladies thread)

My health insurance rates just went up $400 a month. In a fit of anger, I punched a door and broke my hand. My out of pocket max resets on June 1st, so I'm considering the charges for patching up my...

Re: This is the new games thread

I just started playing Portal 2, and it's amazing. I finished Portal in about two and a half hours. I really enjoyed it, but felt it was a little easy and too short, but still loved the concept. ...

I appreciate your response. Your 10 years experience trumps my 3. My experience has been less absolute. A comedian bombing and talking about it/being angry at the audience has definitely ruined...

I need to learn how to do spoiler tags before I talk anymore about this. I'd hate to ruin it for someone.

Re: This is the new games thread

I agree with all of your points. I don't think it's ok to put sci-fi concepts on a pedestal above real world issues, which is what this game does.

Who was bagging on Star Trek? Star Trek...

Re: This is the new games thread

Exactly. It's a pretty game, and some of the concepts are interesting. I just disagree with the way that real world issues were used as a throwaway to reach the concept that the writers really...

Re: This is the new games thread

I watched a play through of the whole Bioshock Infinite game. I've read all of the comments here.

There are spoilers in here, but Spoiler Alert! I don't know how to use tags!

    I too took issue...

    Re: Open mic experiences

I suppose I see things a little differently. If someone is up there bombing it can be because the crowd doesn't relate to that comic or the comic isn't connecting with that audience. As such I...

To say that the white man gave the Native Americans Small Pox is a blanket statement.
  11. Re: Dave Chappelle is alive and well in the Bay Area?

He's hangs around the Bay Area a lot. I saw him outside Cobb's for a Neal Brennan show during Sketchfest last year.

The Bay is a great spot for a guy like Dave. The audience is smart, diverse,...

I watched part of that rebuttal by the English guy. I then cruised over to look at the rest of his videos.

I neither have a console or a PC, so I can't play Bioshock Infinite. But I can watch nerds do a play through on Youtube! Wow! What a game. For a first person shooter, the combat seems to be...

I always miss the really great ones. I was driving behind CYBR MOM but I couldn't get a picture.

Costco doesn't carry all the brands. We use the natural, no weird chemical wipes.

A lot of those wipes have stuff in them I wouldn't want to put on a baby.

Amazon prime is great for baby wipes and diapers. We are on a plan where they send us a set amount every month. Great savings to be had.

Sounds like you have the right plan. Wait as long as you can.

35 weeks is no big deal. The baby might have trouble latching, but our 35 weeker was way easier than our 33 weeker.

    Re: The baby thread

It depends on the weight of your baby. Newborn diapers typically fit up to 8 pounds. If your baby is born weighing more than 8 pounds, you can skip ahead to size 1.

As a reference, we were going...
