Fun Fun Fun Fest 2010

I've never been to Austin, so I bought tickets to this festival full of bands that I love.
Chris Hardwick, Weird Al, & Todd Barry! Aaaaaaand I get to see Gwar and Devo and ST and Bad Religion again, all in the same weekend!

Any other recommendations?

I'm most looking forward to Man Man, Dirty Projectors, and the Hold Steady. I'm also a fan of the Dum Dum Girls and Slick Rick. And Matt Bearden is a great local stand up.

We are finishing up a birthday road trip in Austin for FFFF! Pretty excited for the Gories/Slick Rick/Devin the Dude. Everybody I've talked to that's been says it is pretty awesome.

Sidenote on Devo: They played SD pride this year and they were great.

I really am down to see The Gories, also, I've never seen the Bronx live which I am hoping to be very loud and awesome. I've seen Devo twice with about a 13 year gap between shows and both times were astoundingly great.

I will be making a point to catch as much of the live comedy happenings as possible.

You'll definitely want to check out Matt Bearden, an Austin comic who is absolutely hilarious.
