Tonight on Adult Swim: "NTSF: SD: SUV"

Beginning life as a series of fake commercials which ran in between episodes of the first season of "Childrens Hospital" on Adult Swim, the action spoof "NTSF:SD:SUV" gets its own spinoff series starting tonight (technically tomorrow) at 12:15 AM.

The NTSF:SD:SUV (National Terrorism Strike Force: San Diego: Sport Utility Vehicle) is a clandestine team of government agents working together to protect San Diego from numerous terrorist threats coming in daily from such evil countries as Mexico, Canada and Guam. This team of highly trained operatives has only one job: saving your ass so you can drive your Prius and see your movies in 3-D without worrying about living in a country run by no-good terrorists. As with the many other acronym-ed police procedurals that dominate the airwaves, NTSF:SD:SUV's season of 15-minute episodes is ripped from the headlines and full of suspense, action, drama, cliffhangers, yelling, passionate love-making, more yelling, death and plenty of pregnant pauses.

NTSF:SD:SUV was created by Paul Scheer and stars Scheer, Rebecca Romijn, Rob Riggle, Kate Mulgrew, Brandon Johnson, June Diane Raphael, Martin Starr and S.A.M., the first sentient robot on television. Paul Scheer and Jonathan Stern are executive producers. Here's the trailer:

The promo got me so excited, then I thought that I had maybe missed the first episode and couldn't find myspleen. I panicked! Then I saw this thread and I feel much better.

Yesterday iTunes was offering the first quarter of the first episode (all 3 minutes!) for free. Casey Wilson, Gil Ozeri and more UCB coolcats are on it. It's REALLY funny (at least those 3 minutes are).

Also, Paul in that toupee makes me laugh no matter the context.

I saw a few episodes of the new season (one of them being last night's premiere), and as much as I loved the show in season 1 - holy crap - season 2 looks like it's going to be super hilarious.
