"The Sarah Silverman Program: The Complete Series" coming to DVD June 19th

Amazon currently has a pre-order page set up for "The Sarah Silverman Program: The Complete Series", which will be released on June 19th.

No word yet on any new extras in this set, or whether the third season will be available separately, but cast member Steve Agee reports that the cast is getting together this week to record commentary for Season 3.

I don't know. I've grown really disenchanted with buying anything at Best Buy lately. I went in there on Tuesday and they only had Louie Season 2 bundled together with season one, they didn't have ANY copies of Season 2 by itself. I ended up having to just buy it on Amazon. Best Buy's business model now seems to be "whatever the 2 or 3 big movie releases for the week are, that's what we'll stock in the store and nothing else". I doubt seriously they'll even carry this box set in stores.

Yeah it actually says "in store pick-up" is not available. There isn't a good DVD store anymore, if there ever was... the market's so flooded with fucking Charles in Charge box sets that it's hard to remember what they looked like 5-10 years ago.

Out of curiosity I went to an FYE in a mall nearby and it was awful. Their selection was no better than any store that doesn't focus on just disc media. And it smelled like Aunt Anne's pretzels. FYE actually sells a lot of bullshit too, it's like 40% Hot Topic.

I think if any store like that wants to succeed on any level beyond selling disney DVDs and Tom Cruise Blu-rays, they need to expand, not contract. Back in the 90's, having a store "order" something for you was still somewhat helpful. Now it's insane- pay more to wait for them to get it and then go get it, or pay less to have it shipped instantly to you directly? Tough choice. The poor bastards at Barnes and Noble still offer that to people. But I go to stores like this to get something in my hands today. If I wanted to wait I never would have gone in the first place. I am rambling.
