Step away from the suicide booth: after a tense standoff over their contracts for the new season, the original cast of "Futurama" has reportedly agreed to terms with Fox. According to Variety.com:
Three of the five "Futurama" cast members - Katey Sagal, Maurice LaMarche and Tress MacNeille - have just sealed pacts with 20th Century Fox TV to return to the show as it reboots with 26 new episodes for Comedy Central. The show's other two voice stars, Billy West and John DiMaggio, are expected to follow suit shortly.
While some fans on AST expressed curiosity at how a "Futurama" with different voices might play (and others had fun imagining casting options like Artie Lange as Bender), most were distraught over the news that the cast might not return. Now we can go back to worrying about how the reduced budget for the new season will affect the show's quality!
