    Pee-wee Herman is back!

It’s the news that fans have been awaiting for nearly 20 years: TV and film icon Pee-wee Herman is returning to the stage for a limited engagement run in November. “The Pee-Wee Herman Show,” starring Paul Reubens, is a “re-imagined” version of Herman’s theatrical crusades born out of The Groundlings theater nearly thirty years ago. It’s scheduled to run from November 19th to November 29th at Hollywood’s Music Box at the Fonda Theater.

The show will likely include many of Pee-wee’s old friends, including Miss Yvonne, Mailman Mike, Cowboy Curtis, Jambi the Genie, Chairry, Pterry, Conky, Magic Screen and Randy. “It’s time,” Reubens said. “My Pee-wee suit and red bow tie are at the ready – and this is proof that white shoes are cool past Labor Day.”

Reubens has attempted to bring Pee-wee back in recent years, writing "Pee-wee’s Playhouse: The Movie," which was greenlit in 2006. In June 2007, he re-appeared as Pee-wee for the first time since 1991 at Spike TV’s “Guy’s Choice Awards.”

Previews for the show begin at the Music Box on Nov. 8. Tickets went on sale today at ticketmaster.com or by phone: (800) 745-3000.

Too bad Phil Hartman won't be around to reprise his Captain Carl role.

Yeah, what did the east coast, and more specifically Sarasota, Florida ever do to him?

Good news for procrastinators! They have added another 16 shows in December. Not sure when they went on sale, but there are some really good seats still available.

I think the Music Box shows have been postponed until January and moved to Club Nokia. At least that's what this confusing press release seems to indicate.

So, I'm going to this show today at 4:30 at Club Nokia. Words cannot possibly describe how excited I am. As an eight year old boy I absolutely idolized Pee-Wee. After his appearance on Conan this week, I love him even more. This will likely be slotted into #2 on my top 3 comedy performances I've ever seen.

    1. Spinal Tap/Tenacious D
    2. Pee-Wee
    3. Stella

Has anyone else gone to these shows yet?

Well as long as you don't go in with high expectations.

Okay, so here's the thing: I loved it. For starters, the set was amazing. It was exactly what Pee-Wee's playhouse looked like on the show. Chair-e, Conky, Terry, Globey, et. all. And the puppets were quite awesome. We're not talking about super-edgy material here. Although the "wink" to Reuben's famous incident was really, really funny. But this is what I'll say for the show: Fun. It was just pure fun. I felt like I was a kid again, and that's pretty much exactly why I wanted to go in the first place.

Pretty high when it comes to musical concert type shows. But as for comedy shows, they'd only be like #6.

For those of you in NY or who can travel to NY, The Pee Wee Herman show is coming to Broadway!!!!!!! It has already sold quite a few tickets and already extended once, and it hasn't even opened yet! Dates and tickets here: http://www.peewee.com/broadway/

I'm super excited!!! I grew up watching this show!! My real name is Yvonne and my friends and family called me Miss Yvonne growing up. It was pretty cool actually. The director of the Broadway version, Alex Timbers is amazing! He wrote/directed a HILARIOUS musical called Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson at The Public Theater last season, which opens on Broadway this season too. So now his Broadway directorial debut is not with one show but two. Awesome!

Anywhoozles, I actually got to audition for the voices of Chairry and the Magic Screen in the Broadway production and understudy Miss Yvonne, which would have been so great! No dice on the part, but honestly, I am still super excited to see this! Let me know if any of you end up going. I'm going to do the lottery and see it for $25 bucks!
