Greg Proops' new CD "Elsewhere" is out now and available for purchase from the AST Store, iTunes, AmazonMP3 and probably a lot of other places. If I may be allowed to editorialize for a moment, it's a gas. Go get it!

No one thought to call it "Everbody Proops"?

just listened to the new Proops. wow. incredibly angry. -dylan
Mine came the other day, along with an official copy (with artwork and everything!) of the new Weinbach.
Can I just say that they are both awesome in their own way?
Just listened to this. Strikes me as strange that folks would necessarily describe it as angry. It just seems like classic Proops material.
If you like his past work, you'll probably really enjoy it because this isn't a huge departure in terms of style. (By which I mean to suggest that he is being consistent, not repetitive).
I'm a fan, so I totally enjoyed it. Didn't find it angrier than any of his previous recordings. If you liked "Houston" or "Back in the UK", you'll enjoy this.
I love this album. (And I'm from the midwest.)
I wouldn't call Proops "angry." He doesn't seem to care deeply enough to be angry. But bitchy? Oh, to be sure. The man is a wordsmith. I love hearing a man of his age, who looks and sounds the way he does, use ridiculous street slang so fluently. If I had one complaint, it would be that a lot of the topics are ever-so-slightly "done." But it's so funny, I don't really care. He's hilarious.
btw, here's the review on Punchline Magazine...
