Nick Swardson Sketch Show Picked Up for Six Episodes

Nick Swardson has announced on his MySpace blog a six episode pickup of his currently untitled sketch show. According to Nick, the show will feature psuedo-signature character Gay Robot in animated segments, and is being produced by himself and classic comedy show veteran Tom Gianas ("Saturday Night Live," "Tenacious D"). Delightfully for ASTers, Nick says the show will be similar to "Mr. Show" and "Human Giant." Not mentioned is what network the show will air on, but considering Nick's long and fairly healthy relationship with Comedy Central (with whom he developed several versions of Gay Robot, and whose record label released his first album, Party, in 2007), it's safe to say that's where the show will end up.

I'm definitely excited for this, I'm interested to see who he brings on the show.

I've been waiting for ever for Gay Robot to make to TV.
Imagine this is really clever and really funny.
