In a move that some would argue they should have done in the first place, NBC is moving their multicamera sitcom "Whitney" to Wednesdays at 8 PM starting in midseason. The show will be followed by another female-oriented multicam sitcom, "Are You There, Chelsea?”* — based on Chelsea Handler’s book, “Are you There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea”.
The Christina Applegate-Will Arnett sitcom "Up All Night", which has been struggling in the ratings on Wednesdays, will move to Thursday nights at 9:30 after "The Office". This means that "Community" will be off of NBC's schedule for a while when "30 Rock" returns at 8 PM in January. It is important to stress that "Community" has not been cancelled, nor has its episode order been reduced. A decision has not been made at this time on the future of the series.
*Yes, this is the new title of the program- "Vodka" was excised from the title.
