NBC unveils midseason schedule; moves "Whitney", "Up All Night", tables "Community"

In a move that some would argue they should have done in the first place, NBC is moving their multicamera sitcom "Whitney" to Wednesdays at 8 PM starting in midseason. The show will be followed by another female-oriented multicam sitcom, "Are You There, Chelsea?”* — based on Chelsea Handler’s book, “Are you There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea”.

The Christina Applegate-Will Arnett sitcom "Up All Night", which has been struggling in the ratings on Wednesdays, will move to Thursday nights at 9:30 after "The Office". This means that "Community" will be off of NBC's schedule for a while when "30 Rock" returns at 8 PM in January. It is important to stress that "Community" has not been cancelled, nor has its episode order been reduced. A decision has not been made at this time on the future of the series.

*Yes, this is the new title of the program- "Vodka" was excised from the title.

Things aren't looking great for Community, but it's not cancelled yet, and I am hopeful.

Kinda disappointed "Awake" wasn't on this list. I was hoping it would be a midseason show. Also upset because the season I got into community it is having a rough go of it. Common NBC!

There are several NBC shows that have sorta tailed off their earlier highs imho. While the Office feels better than the past few years it's still not near it's Season 2/3 peak. Community sorta lost me last year to be honest. Whitney I like a lot, Up All Night will maybe do better on Thursday but not sold on it. Are they still going to put on Whitney's other series that she wrote/created or smoethin?

That's "Two Broke Girls", it's on CBS.
