A website I'd never heard of until today is all of a sudden bossing me around and telling me I "need to know" the comedy of Kyle Kinane. Fortunately for me, I already do -- in fact, I'll be winding up the AST Recordonometer this Friday at the UCB Theatre (Los Angeles edition) to commit his spoken words to my hard drive, and eventually to mass-produced compact disc. The show is sold out, but as Kyle sagely counsels, "... do not be deterred. come to the theater and sign up for the waitlist at 7, get a drink at birds, and see what the night holds."

As for this website, it's called mademan.com, and its (short) list of young comics you mustn't not know includes L.A. legend Brody Stevens and actually young jokesmiths Myq Kaplan and Dan Boulger. In addition to some kind words, you will find video of these guys if you stop talking about it and just click the link.

I hadn't heard of that website, either, but I did scroll down to the bottom to see it was written by Max Goldberg, who starts a thread every now and then here on AST.

More importantly, though, finding out that Brody Stevens is still a young comedian really made my day!
