Even if I don't necessarily like it I can still appreciate "generic" or "broad" humor and I think it has its place. A lot of people have their entire lives going on and just want to put their feet up and watch 10 minutes of comedy on TV and that is their comedy fill for the week and they are happy. And a stand-up with good stage presence and good delivery who tells familiar jokes is filling that valid need. The rest of us who want more than that, can easily get more than that. So anyway, yeah, her stuff is familiar and broad but I can appreciate it and I think she is good at what she does.

Great job, Jason! I'm a huge GWF fan, so it's really awesome to see you're still working hard and being hilarious. Come to NYC soon.

But seriously, if anybody would like to come see my one-man-show which is much longer than the 2 minutes they showed me on Last Comic Standing it is playing June 24th at the Improv Lab in Hollywood (next to the Improv.)

I'm not trying to defend this person at all but that line alone isn't exactly homophobic - not to mention, we're talking jokes here. I haven't seen what happens after that so please continue your discussion but that's just a boring premise, not necessarily anti-gay.

I think female comics have to stop talking about gay men as though they are pets or accessories.

While I agree with this (times infinity), I'd love to hear male comics talk about the joys of having lesbian friends.

My cousin is a lesbian and I'm a dude. We're both amateur folk musicians. There must be something funny about that. Hhhhm...

I was half joking, and half acknowledging in my super passive way, that I'm a lesbo and want to be best friends with the comics I like.

So I've been enjoying this season of LCS so far. That said, the show does have one significant flaw... everytime Natasha Leggero appears on my 37" high-def television my penis sends a signal to my brain that causes it to explode in one million little pieces. It gets really annoying after awhile.

I should probably go on to say that she is also an entertaining judge to have on (which I think she is), but my opinion is invalidated by how ridiculously pretty I find her.

I just heard Kyle Groom do the same exact joke I wrote over a year ago. I wonder if I can use that now.

    Andy Kindler makes me laugh.

And I'm a hagget haggy hag, and even I think ladies need to not talk about gay men like they are handbags and pumps.

I'm shocked that Chris Fairbanks didn't get through.

I forgot to say this when he was on, I wrote a CD review for Mike Destefano's "OK Karma." In a while I'll have my new positive-review section on the website, but for now I'm on the guest spot.

Say what you want about the website, I'm using it to promote some great NYC stand-up releases. Lot of comics on this season of LCS are there, such as Laurie Kilmartin, Kurt Metzger, and Mike Vecchione. So check it out:

Somebody should have told NBC that Giraldo commenting on how terrible the Despicable Me promo was, does not make it not terrible.

I was excited to see Myq Kaplan and Nikki Glaser, but was mostly meh on everyone else.

And it was my first time seeing both Brian McKim and Tracy Skeme actually perform, but the fact that I read (yet mostly don't like) their blog made me dislike them as well.

I liked a lot more - more than none - people on this hour of NYC than the last one. Obviously, Myq Kaplan. Also, the guy with the "I don't care that Obama won, get out of the car, we have a problem" line, I loved that. I was so relieved that the girl with the afro and the toddler didn't make it. She can stay home and write a joke.

I really like Mark Normand, so it sucks that he didn't get more airtime or through to the semis. I'm biased about Rob O'Reilly because he's so adorable... his bits can rely too heavily on nostalgia references for the 20-something set, but he's super funny.

Carmen Lynch is HILARIOUS. Seen a lot of her stuff online and I follow her on Twitter. I didn't expect to see her on LCS, but her making it to the semis was a welcome surprise. Jordan Carlos... maybe I missed it, but did he advance to the showcase? If so, did they show his performance?
I saw him in the green room in the last episode, which makes me wonder how the showcase is filmed. The judges were wearing the same clothes too. How is the sausage cooked???

Also, many congrats to Myq Kaplan. He's great.

He advanced to the showcase but they didn't show his evening set.

Tonight's person that I can't judge objectively: Adrienne Iapalucci. Congrats, Adrienne!

I wonder if Myka Fox gets to use this as a TV credit.
