Jon Glaser joins the cast of "Parks and Recreation"

According to website TV Line, comedian Jon Glaser has joined "Parks and Recreation"‘s fifth season, playing a town councilman and local orthodontist. According to "Parks" showrunner Mike Schur , the longtime "Late Night with Conan O’Brien" writer and "Delocated" star plays a character who “basically becomes Leslie’s nemesis. He doesn’t find her interesting or charming at all, and doesn’t care about her bright-eyed, bushy-tailed attitude toward making the town better… He just doesn’t like her.”

Knope’s new foe, as well as another “extremely old", Strom Thurmond-like politician, make their debuts in the third episode of Season 5, which begins Thursday, Sept. 20th at 9:30/8:30c. “They’re going to be around a lot,” says Schur. “Certainly not in every episode, but… they’ll float in and out as we need them.”
