HBO renews "The Life and Times of Tim" for Season 3

In a surprise announcement yesterday, HBO announced that it is picking up the animated series "The Life and Times of Tim" for a third season, consisting of 10 episodes. The announcement comes 2 months after HBO supposedly cancelled the series, and production company MRC had been shopping the series around to Comedy Central, Adult Swim and TBS.

The second season of "Tim", which ran in a block with another MRC-produced animated series, "The Ricky Gervais Show", featured many AST favorites doing voice work, including Nick Kroll, Andrew Daly, Jon Daly, Brett Gelman, Bob Odenkirk, Casey Wilson, Eddie Pepitone, Marc Maron, and others. "The Ricky Gervais Show" has also been renewed for a second season.

Fuck, I cancelled my HBO because they weren't going to renew this, now I'm going to have to smooth-talk them into giving me HBO again for cheap.

It's been a long time coming, but season 3 of The Life & Times of Tim debuts tomorrow night at 9 pm on HBO. There are guest appearances from Marc Maron, Tig Notaro, Brian Scolaro, Kym Whitley, Ian Roberts, Alan Tudyk, George Wallace, Edie McClurg, Kate Flannery, and Eugene Cordero--and that's all in this first episode.
