From Deadline:
"The Office" co-star Brian Baumgartner is staying in business with the series’ boss Greg Daniels. Daniels is executive producing a new single-camera comedy to star the Office cast member, which has landed at ABC. It will be written by Harris Wittels, supervising producer on Daniels’ other NBC series, "Parks And Recreation'. The untitled half-hour centers on Norman (Baumgartner), a mid-level airline executive who fights to experience winning again… at anything. Universal TV and Daniels’ studio-based Deedle Dee Prods are producing, with Wittels, Baumgartner, Deedle Dee’s Daniels and Tracy Katsky and 3 Arts’ Howard Klein, Dave Becky and Tom Lassally executive producing.
This is the fourth comedy project in the works for next season that is toplined by an Office co-star, including the proposed Office spinoff "The Farm" starring Rainn Wilson and created by him and former Office exec producer/showrunner Paul Lieberstein, and two half-hours executive produced by Daniels — the Baumgartner/Wittels project at ABC and a comedy starring Craig Robinson and written by The Office‘s Owen Ellickson at NBC. Additionally, The Office‘s Angela Kinsey and Rachel Harris star in a comedy called "Dirty Blondes", which has a put pilot commitment at Fox. This is the latest sale for WME-repped Deedle Dee, which has backed several comedies from up-and-coming writers on Daniels’ The Office and Parks & Recreation. In addition to the Baumgartner/Wittels and the Robinson/Ellickson projects, that includes comedies at NBC written by The Office‘s Robert Padnick and Parks And Recreation‘s Alan Yang.
