Go: Todd Barry & Friends @ the Aladdin Theater in Portland

Tonight, Todd Barry will be putting on one hell of a show in Portland, Oregon. Billed as Todd Barry & Friends, the lineup features Todd Barry (last seen telling amazing jokes on stage) and his friends Maria Bamford (recently heard as the wife of Representative Richard Martin on The Adam Carolla Podcast), Jon Benjamin (most recently a cast member and writer on "Important Things with Demetri Martin"), and The Red Wine Boys (a duo composed of Barry and Benjamin who were voted 'Best of 2004' by Time Out New York). This show comes as a bit of a boon to Portland comedy fans, as Todd did not appear during, and both Maria and Jon had to cancel their appearances at, the recent Bridgetown Comedy Festival.

The Aladdin Theater is at 3017 SE Milwaukie Ave in Portland. The show is $20.00 and starts at 8 PM.

They were one of the highlights of the Sasquatch festival this past weekend. Aziz Ansari made a guest appearance on the show to demonstrate the torture technique known as wineboarding. Really funny stuff.

This was a fantastic show. The Red Wine boys really showed this town what's what...and as for Maria...I don't want to say something cheesy like "inspirational", or "light of my life", but she was both those things.

It was a funny show. Todd went on first, which was unexpected.

Maria had the funniest set, I thought. Kept checking her watch, though.

Jon projected slides of wangs and suggested from the stage that I looked a little old, so that was fun.
