Go: Avalon Showcase at the Hollywood Improv tonight

Avalon Management reps some of our favorite comics, and tonight they're putting on a show at the Hollywood Improv. Please go support said comics with laughter so that the people who wear the suits realize how wonderful and talented they all are. (You'd think just seeing them perform would do it, but no: they need aural confirmation from a room full of strangers to be convinced.)

The lineup includes Jen Kirkman, Matt Braunger, Rob Delaney, Duncan Trussell and Brendon Walsh and the show will be hosted by the one and only Greg Behrendt. So even if you don't care at all about the career ramifications of this event, why not go and enjoy a night of great comedy?

Show starts at 8pm, be there at 7:30, go to the Improv website for reservations or call (323) 651-2583. The Improv is located at 8162 Melrose Avenue.

Yes. Do this. These showcases can be hard for comics when it's only the sometimes tight, don't really want to be there but are required to by their jobs, industry audiences. All these people are funny, so you will have fun, and they will totally appreciate your presence, which could translate into the purchasing of low cost domestic beers for you by the performers after the show.

Matt Braunger has generously agreed to make it an open bar tonight, on him. Just tell the barkeep "This one (or three, whatever) is on Matt!" Don't insult him by having a well drink either. Get the good stuff.
