From everyday ASTer to Directing a Big NBC Sitcom

Tonight marks another milestone in the ascent of longtime ASTer Jason Woliner, as the episode of Parks and Recreation he directed airs at 8:30 on NBC. From the kid who buried Bernie in the sand to creator of outstanding web videos to Human Giant director/editor extraordinaire, "jason w." deserves widespread acclaim for his tremendous talents.

Tune in tonight at 8:30 when "Leslie and Tom get chosen to judge the Pawnee Beauty Pageant."

    Congratulations Jason!

I'm new here, but yes it is good to see Jason hit primetime. When does he get to tackle a movie?

Jason Woliner is a true talent and a good guy to boot. He deserves everything that comes to him (except a pie in the face).
Garrett Gonzalez Morris (born February 1, 1937) is an American comedian and actor from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was part of the original cast of the sketch comedy program Saturday Night Live, appearing from 1975 to 1980

did anyone catch the partisan jabs in this episode?
"This is not the Beach Boys. It can't be. Why? No beach songs! I thought it was some kind of joke. All 'Pet Sounds' offers is the opportunity to hear Brian Wilson whine for forty minutes, backed by elevator music. There's barely any Mike Love on the album at all."

Or that one of the judges name was Charles WOLINER! Coincidence?

    Probably.

A fine example of directing comedy Jason... I really "got" the message you were trying to convey about the decline of our societal values. Mission accomplished!

Plus I got a boner during the talent portion of the contest.

    You did that...you!
