Miles, fresh off his star-making(?) role in last year's hit comedy Role Models, brings us Hot Sluts, a new series about a green farm girl being initiated into a world of scantily-clad cocktail waitresses with even scantier moral codes. The show is co-written by Joe Lo Truglio. Intended for mature audiences, it says on the website.

Do you know that AD Miles writes Lick it for 10? Do you know that he's pressed for time because of his web series obligations? If not, then it's just sort of a snide, opportunistic way to get in another pointless jab at Fallon's show, which has nothing to do with Hot Sluts.

It's dickish because you're implying that AD Miles shouldn't be allowed to do other projects until a show he's one of many writers on is funny for every second it's on the air.

Since there's already a thread devoted to Jimmy Fallon's show, it seems like this opinion would be a lot more at home there.

You are wrong there. He is HEAD writer of the show (except for the monologue portion, which is headed by someone else). Therefore he is responsible for the quality of ALL the bits on the show. This is the job of a head writer. If the comedy is not up to snuff, it's his responsibility to see that it is.

It was snide, but I really meant it. The comedy of the show is of such a low grade quality, I honestly find it irresponsible for him to working on his own stuff on the side.

But if I made my point there, you would have steam coming out of your ears because I mentioned "Hot Sluts" on a Jimmy Fallon thread.

It's irrelevant, because these were filmed several months before Fallon's show started.

Also, writers work for producers, so they are at the mercy of what their bosses want the tone and sensibility of the show to be. I know AD Miles to be a very funny guy who has done a lot of great work, so if the network job he has right now doesn't reflect his talent, I'd be inclined to lay the blame elsewhere.

Wait a minute, I don't say "forget you guys." Jouster obviously has a superior point. ISOS has an intelligent point, but we don't know for sure if it's valid, as even he implied. At some shows the head writer has a lot of power, at others, like ISOS pointed out, the head writer doesn't. I don't know specifically what the case is at the Fallon show. So maybe the comment was glib. But it's also a possibility I was correct. Does anyone out there work on the show? Can you confirm? Is AD Miles responsible? Higgins?

I get that people instantly dislike new members to a board. But I didn't attack anyone here. Certainly didn't call anyone a jerk. I was giving my honest opinion about a comedian. If I disagree with the consensus I'm a jerk? I really like Tim and Eric. Does that make me a nice guy now?
