Starting tomorrow, June 2nd, at 10 PM EST, the TV Guide Network will begin airing reruns of the HBO comedy series "Curb Your Enthusiasm", beginning with the first ever "Curb" episode, "The Pants Tent". According to their online schedule , it looks like episodes will continue to air in order every Wednesday and Thursday night.
Now ordinarily, this news would warrant a "yeah, so what?", but the TV Guide Network has decided to do something interesting to make the episodes fill out an hour-long slot. The last 10- 15 minutes of each hour will be taken up with a round-table discussion called “Curb: The Discussion.” "Curb" star Susie Essman will host the after-chat, and each episode will feature different guests in the studio with her, analyzing the show that just ended— and especially Larry’s often questionable decisions and behavior exhibited therein.
Although a complete list of celebrity panelists is not available online, it is known that the first few episodes will feature guests such as Jerry Seinfeld, Oscar-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson and Golden Globe award-winning "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm. Future guests will include actor and producer Seth Green, heavy metal singer and film director Rob Zombie, actor and author Hill Harper, comedienne and television writer Merrill Markoe, physician and television personality Dr. Drew Pinsky, radio and television personality Adam Corolla, actor Rex Lee, musician Dave Navarro, "Millionaire Matchmaker" star Patti Stanger, actor and standup comedian D.L. Hughley, and comedians Jeff Ross and Patton Oswalt, among others. Media pundits and social figures will also join the celebrity panelists to debate "Curb's" issues, including "Morning Joe" host Joe Scarborough and co-host Mika Brezinski, celebrity attorney Gloria Allred, New York Times ethicist Randy Cohen, and clinical and forensic psychologist Dr. Stan Katz, among others.
Overall, these brief roundtables probably won't demand appointment viewing, but should provide fans with a modicum of freshness to content otherwise readily available on DVD.
