Chris Hardwick to Host G4's "Web Soup"

The G4 network is launching a new spinoff-of-sorts of "The Soup" entitled “Web Soup,” and Chris Hardwick is set to serve as host. The show will be a weekly half-hour featuring the best and worst viral videos from the previous seven days. It will air Sundays at 9 PM beginning June 7. [ TV WEEK ] Chris has been developing his rep as tech nerd supreme recently on another G4 program, "Attack of the Show," and on his blog, Nerdist. Comedy fans are sure to recognize him from his double appearance on the recent Comedy Death-Ray compilation album, both as a solo stand-up and with musical partner Mike Phirman in Hard 'n Phirm.

This really seems like a great idea for that channel and Hardwick is the absolute perfect person to host it.

Ha Ha I caught 2 mins of DJ & the Fro and was like umm no thanks not ever.

Web Soup is really great the show is super funny I saw a taping of the 1st ep then saw the ep and laughed as much as I did seeing it live. Just shows how awesome a host Hardwick is. Also great cameos in the 2nd ep by Jonah Ray and Randy Liedke!

I love that E! is replaying it, as much as I love G4 a show like this needs the pull repeated viewings on E! will give it.

Tosh.0 as much as I have heard such awesome things about Tosh himself I think the show doesn't necessarily fit him well. I was hoping both would work well.

This show may have the highest laughs-per-minute rate of any other show of its kind. It's a real fucking pleasure to watch.
