"Archer" returns to FX, joined by new animated series "Unsupervised"
The animated spy spoof "Archer" returns to FX tonight at 10 PM for its third season. Following the premiere of "Archer" at 10:30 will be the premiere of a new animated series, "Unsupervised", which is written and produced by several veterans of the FX comedy "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" (Rob Rosell, Scott Marder, and David Hornsby are the creators; Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Glenn Howerton are executive producers).
"Unsupervised" is a comedy about optimistic best friends Gary and Joel, who are navigating the harsh landscape of teenage life and trying to do what's right without any parental guidance whatsoever. Justin Long (“The New Girl”) and David Hornsby (CBS's recently cancelled “How to Be a Gentleman”) provide the voices of Gary and Joel, the latchkey children who live in a world bereft of parents, save for Joel’s drug-addled stepmother ("Sunny"'s Kaitlin Olsin). Adult companionship is also provided by a pair of neighbors, an avuncular Panamanian (Fred Armisen) and a barbie-tending Australian (Rob Rosell). Kristen Bell and Romany Malco also do voicework for the series, playing schoolmates of Gary and Joel.
