Adult Swim has apparently given the go-ahead for a new stop motion series from the dark comedic mind of Dino Stamatopoulos. According to an interview with Dino on adultswim.com, "Frankenhole" will center around "Victor Frankenstein, the mad genius who mastered immortality and now has also created an infinite number of portals (or Frankenholes) connecting his small, Eastern European village (that is teeming with monsters and supernatural forces) to every time period from the past and the future."
No release date was announced for the project, although it sounds like it's in the very early stages.
Stamatopoulos rose to prominence through his work on Mr. Show and recently completed the third and final season of Moral Orel, another stop motion series on Adult Swim. Moral Orel contributors Scott Adsit, Jay Johnston and Mark Rivers will also be involved in Frankenhole, Dino says.
