During SNL's summer break, Broadway Video (Lorne Michaels' production company) has quietly launched a new Youtube channel called "The Above Average Network" , featuring several new web series that utilize SNL's current writing and acting talent. Premiering every Monday on the channel will be new episodes of "The Front Desk", starring SNL writer and "30 Rock" actor John Lutz as a harried hotel desk clerk who must deal with various angry customers. The first episode features SNL's Bill Hader (playing 4 roles) and the second features long-time SNL writer Paula Pell.

Wednesday will see new episodes of "The Assistant", starring and co-written by SNL's Abby Elliott, along with her cowriter Sarah Schneider (formerly of the "College Humor" website). On Fridays, there will be a new episode each week of "The Cool Kids' Table", starring Taylor Gildersleeve and Juliette Monaco as two "cool girls" who will interact with a different guest star each week (SNL's Kenan Thompson in the first episode).

The channel is in a "beta" state right now, with a more formal rollout expected later in the summer. As can be seen in the highlight reel below, there are more series planned for the channel, including "Belle and Bernice: Livin' in the City" with "30 Rock"'s Sue Galloway, "Hooker Lawyer" (a parody of USA network dramas), and the self-explanatory "Puppet High":

The channel is also now the home of two previously existing web series, "I Wanna Have Your Baby", featuring SNL writer Christine Nangle, and "7 Minutes in Heaven" with SNL writer Michael Patrick O'Brien.
