And we've never formally met, but I started out in St Louis and am friends with Gabe Kea, which is how I first heard tale of your work. Also, we may be working together in Oct and I'm very much looking forward to it.

The original poster did say to name even the obvious ones, so... Emo Philips.

Check out Mike O'Connell. He has a bunch of standup clips (from Kimmel) on Youtube and also does great videos on Funny or Die. REALLY out there, quite a character.

I think the groupthink on this board was that he was the worst part of Funny or Die.

That's the "what's it gonna be" guy? People think he's the worst part of something?

O'Connell is great. If you have a problem with Mike O'Connell, I will fight you. (I will not fight anyone.)
Erik Charles Nielsen is a moderately funny fellow... right?

Yes, I remember that I know you. My memories from Aspen are slightly fuzzy due to the insomnia I had. Thanks for spray painting that even though they told me not to take it.

Back to the topic at hand: Some of my favorite comics with a touch of the weird here in SF are Mary Van Note, DJ Real, and Alex Koll.

I will echo the Brent Weinbach suggestion (former SF comic, now in LA).

Oh, well, by all means keep me posted on the "groupthink."

(Does that sound a little too Aldous Huxley to anyone else?)

Have fun thinking like the group!

The group frowns upon talking poorly about the group.

    Or, well...some other dystopian author.

We'll just take the fact that this was too long and that you didn't read it...as read.
