    Open Mics in PA

So, I've been writing material, but haven't gone up at any open mics yet. I live in Lancaster, PA and am just looking for any good open mics, the closer the better.

But yeah, I know of the one at Helium in Philly, on Tuesday nights and I'm willing to go to Philly, York, Harrisburg, anywhere in that general radius, it'd be awesome if there was one in Lancaster, but I don't think that's the case. Any help with this would be great.

Your best bet would be to go find one place nearby, go there and talk to the folks there about what other spots are around and on what nights. There may be folks from around you here, but in case there aren't that's my 2 cents.

(Not sure if it's okay to bump this. Apologies!)

There isn't anything in Lancaster that I know of, but the Harrisburg Comedy Zone has a great open mic on Thursdays. The Reading Comedy Outlet's facebook page mentioned a possible Tuesday open mic sometime in the future, but they haven't mentioned it in awhile. LMAO Comedy Club is just starting up, (in the same room as RCO on different weekends, confusingly) and did one open mic. I don't know if there will be more, but I suspect so.

If you still read this forum and go to any of these places, say hi to the really short guy in hipstery glasses and feminine boots and we'll both feel kind of uncomfortable but have a moment of sorts anyway. Also let me know if you find anything or want to start anything in Lancaster. I'm surprised nothing's happened with the whole First Friday arts scene.
