I think the title of this thread is going to drive off everyone you would want to post here.

To extend the sex metaphor, it might as well be titled, "Hey Virgins. Talk about your virginity here, virgins!!"

Edit it to something more along the lines of just "Stand Up Q&A?" More general discussion? I mean, it'll probably draw the amateurs and semi-professionals who want to go over what they are doing or look for some sort of advice but if we make it more general, it might help. Not entirely sure how to do that though...No matter what we do, some people are simply just going to be turned away from this type of discussion.

Of course people are going to be turned away from this thread. Same with most all threads. I don't read the Sporots thread or the Politics thread, or in fact a lot of threads on here.

I posted this in the open mic experiences, but I think it's more fitting here:

I recently did a 10 minute set opening for a small rock show out in Phoenix, AZ. It was my first ever attempt at this sort of thing, and it's pretty obvious I was nervous ("you know") I also rushed through some jokes and messed up my words, but I hope it's not a bad start. I feel my main flaw is that the jokes are so varied and in totally different styles that it just comes across as really messy.
