I'm being told it's official: August 20th-21st at The Dark Room in San Francisco. Show times to be determined, but I'm sure we'll know by August 19th. Hope you can make it.

Tickets are live, people!
Got my tickets.
It's one month out and I'm bumping this!
Saturday tickets are moving, get on that in advance, definitely, and why take chances on Friday?
Shows were awesome. Little shout out to Darryl Duffy. Always good to see you. You know my recap will be biased since I love Mike enough to bring him up here and produce a show. But the two hour Saturday show was EPIC. Rocked it.
I saw the Saturday show and thought it was amazing. I brought someone who had never heard any of Mike’s stuff and she really enjoyed it as well. It was a great experience, and I am really thankful that everybody involved worked so hard to put it together.
I went Saturday as well! Incredibly hilarious and well done. In about 2 and a half hours, Mike did maybe 3 stories that I heard before (but are among favorites from the podcasts) and everything else was new (to me at least, I don't know 100% because I haven't been able to listen to the podcast in the last 20 episodes or so due to my laptop).
Really just incredibly structured, I'd love to hear about how Mike decided on what to include, how to sequence it, and all that because it is top notch. Great call backs, great lead ins, even nice musical cues and drops (even if they probably played longer than expected in front of an audience while having to stand on stage in the dark). I can't wait to see what's next for this, cause it can definitely be a hit pretty much anywhere I think.
Thanks Bucky for getting the show done up here, and thanks Mike and Lili for putting it together and bringing it to SF. Glad I got to see it.

Bucky: I can't thank you enough for all of your hard work in getting this show up and running. I look forward to coming up there again if the City will have me.
rutabega and darrylduffy: Thanks not only for taking the time to attend, but for your kind words regarding the show. Darryl, I go into some detail re. your questions about structure/sequence on this week's "40YOB" but I'm happy to answer any specific questions you might have. I knew I was going to have the opening story/closing story bookend the show, and didn't really put the middle together until the week before the performance.
I had to include 7-11 - it was the most requested story by listeners - and I thought the family stuff would work with the bookend stories. I didn't want to make the whole thing about my family, however, so that's probably going to present some problems as I edit and go forward. I think we both know that I love me some me, so deciding what to cut is going to be very difficult. I'm reaching out to a few director-types to see if they have any interest in coming aboard; if not, I'll make it work somehow.
There's the short (really?) version, but you can e-mail me for more in-depth analysis. I'm sure you can't wait.
Thanks again.
Mike
