Hi all,
Dave Thomason and I are launching our show "Laughterbirth!" this coming Thursday at the Dark Room.

We've written some really great sketches for this one & have a great line-up of comics. I'm really excited about the show, as Dave is not only my favorite local comic, but friggin awesome to work with. If you've got nothing planned or want to come by & check it out after the Brainwash, please do.

Dave and Janine are two of the best comics in San Francisco, and if I didn't work Thursdays I'd hella be there. HELLA.

Last night was a lot of fun, didn't get to watch a lot of it as Dave & I were running around backstage for most of the show, but here's a recap of what I caught (is it weird to recap a show I helped put on? meh.) The audience was tough to warm up at the beginning, I don't think they were expecting any sketch. Some highlights:

-I love Chris Remmers' "Landfill Ass" bit. Always. I laugh every time he does it.
-Nicole Calasich was great, had a mic issue and just kept going sans mic. It worked & gave her set a really cool theater-performance feel. I really liked it.
-Jesse Fernandez played a great video that he's entered in the Rooftop Short Film Competition, please check it out when it comes up.
-Emily Heller did a guest set, 'nuff said. I'm in love with this woman and her comedy.
-Comedy Wizards sketch was a hit.
-I mistakenly intro'd Jason Wheeler as having moved to LA (thought he had, oops). I looked like an idiot, but Jason took advantage of my mistake in the funniest way possible and had the crowd eating out of his hand the entire time.
-Dave is master of both stand up and sketch. It makes you want to either hug him or bludgeon him in a fit of jealousy.
