I'll be performing at the Elbo Room on Saturday, Nov 6th, 2010!
I hope you can come because it's one night only!
The show starts PROMPTLY at 7:30pm because it has to end by 9pm.
Bucky Sinister is my opening act!

Tickets are not available quite yet through the website but I'll let you know as soon as they are. Tickets are $15.

I'm wondering if anyone knows any cool podcasts I can do a phone-r with prior to coming to SF or any local papers that would put my flyer in it or anything?
I need all the help I can get getting the word out and encouraging people to buy tickets in advance!

As far as local papers go, ask Bucky Sinister. The weekly papers have given him some good press and he probably has some contacts there I'd guess.

Man, my ears are burnin'. The Elbo Room does a good job with publicity and whatnot on their own. But I will see what I can do...

BTW, for everyone who wonders:
I routinely invite a selected crew of journalists to my shows. They are writers who cover comedy, spoken word, and theater for their papers. They show up for about 1% of the shows. I do about 75 local gigs a year.

Do a ton of shows. Invite specific writers. If you see someone write up a show of someone else's, invite that writer to yours, especially if you are of a similar ilk. Eventually you will get coverage.

This show was fantastic. It was a room full of Kirkman fans, some only familiar with one aspect of her work...some who knew her from podcasts, some from Chelsea lately, so there were a lot of people who weren't familiar with her standup, but liked her coming in to the room, so it was really warm and fun.

Jen rocked it. It was all new material, some of it brand new, some more tried out, some of it from earlier that day. She went an hour and I think could have gone two. Be sure to catch the CD Recording next month if you're in LA.

I saw a bunch of SF comics there, thanks for coming, guys! It's hard to get out and see a show when you're spending most of your nights performing, so I really appreciate the support.
