Hell to the Chief and Hero Worship
Sammy Wegent's one-person show, Hell To The Chief, hilariously points out why the American public has never been and will never be completely satisfied with the person running the country. Throughout this mix of stand up, satirical charts and graphs, and audience interaction, Wegent puts forth a plan on how we can actually get the leader we want in November, even if we have to build it, resurrect it, or take it from the animal kingdom.
In his new one-person show, Hero Worship, San Francisco comedian and lifelong comic book fan Justin Lamb uses his superior nerd intellect to examine how superheroes have recently gotten to be so popular, and how some of our favorite characters are pretty similar to some of religion's biggest names. The half hour comedy show uses multimedia and original standup material to explore everything from Darkseid to dreidels.
Hero Worship runs with Sammy Wegent's Hell to the Chief Saturdays, October 11, 18, 25, and November 1st at the Historic Purple Onion in San Francisco at 140 Columbus Ave with performances at 8pm and 10pm. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at http://www.spf7.org or at the door.
