Layover Bar is in the Oaksterdam part of Downtown Oakland, 1517 Franklin between 15th and 17th Streets, a block from Broadway, in between 12th and 19th Street BARTs.

Not to poo-poo all over the reporter, but I get the feeling she had an idea about what she wanted to write prior to even walking in. I understand the desire from a writer's standpoint of going with the "comedy is tough, the audience was difficult," etcetera and blah-blah angle, but that night was the best show I've ever seen at the Layover. While Chris did have a relatively rough set, the night overall was a lot of fun and the crowd seemed really into it.

And I'm not just saying this because I didn't show up in the story...Sean Keane was also there and went unmentioned, and I thought we both had decent sets.

However, anything that means better exposure for the Layover and Speegz is fine by me. Seriously, that was a really fun night and I'm already looking forward to performing there again.

Yeah, I had a good time that night too. I think it was just bad form to spend a whole paragraph talking about the a comic that had an off night. That kind of stuff can follow you around. She should have mentioned when Chris laid into that loud chick. That was funny.
