TBS's Lust for Crafts: Very Funny

I'm nearly broke, but there's some affordable shows this year...

We're going to the Hideout for Conspiracy Theory tomorrow (because I missed it at Bridgetown) & Brody on Saturday.

But I'm most excited about the TBS© LOL® Lounge (Oregon Tilth)... Brent Weinbach, Hari Kondabolu, James Adomian, & Lil Rel for $10 is a damn good deal.

I'd absolutely recommend My Manns and Seeder & Lee, too... but I've seen those guys a lot.

Anyone else checking out any shows?

Anything else interesting happening? I hear the Cole's open mic was pretty packed with visiting folks. I would have loved to see our stout-scruffy mumbly-monster Ken introduce the 7ft-tall gentlemanly-goof Stephen Merchant.

Dan, that lineup is so crazy! Congrats on getting to be a part of it.

I also hear that the Set List shows tonight and tomorrow at The Lincoln Lodge have some pretty insane comedians on it. I'll probably check them out tonight.

This was a damn fine show.

I'd never heard of Lauri Roggenkamp before and she was fantastic - especially the end of her set where she basically is dancing and shrieking for five minutes.

And I've got no excuse to have lived 5+ years in Chicago and never seen Lil Rel until last night. The hardest I laughed all night was at his lines about his uncle frustratingly instructing his bluetooth headset to turn on the microwave to pop his popcorn because he wanted to watch Cooley High.
