This is going to be a good show. Not that I'm in it, or anything.

Re: I am doing PCP this weekend...

I had a great time watching you two fellow ASTers do PCP and your cast was wonderful.

Thanks for letting me hang out afterwards, I really didn't want to leave , it felt like it was 9pm not 4am but my stupid car needed me to drive it as sober as possible home, stupid car.

You have a talented group of people there and I hope to see more in the future

Re: I am doing PCP this weekend...

Hey so I'm in another play with this theatre company, again featuring akliner as well as one other dude and nine lovely ladies and this one promises to be a lot of fun. It opens tomorrow and runs this weekend and the following three.

    HERE ARE THE DEETS...

    Directed by Mary Rose O’Connor
    Stage Management: Christina Dougherty
    Choreography: Anna Lucero
    Costume Design: Bradley Burgess-Donaleski
    Sound Design: R. Alex Kliner
    Property Design: Lindsay Monahan
    Lighting Design: Casey Diers

Featuring: Anne Litchfield, Haily Wineland, Andrea Decamp, Alyse Kittner, R. Alex Kliner, Bobby Libby, Jonathan Matteson, Jessica Neilson, Angela Johnson, Jaclyn Keough, Amanda Goodyear and Claire Tuft.

    Performances are Thurs-Sat at 8pm
There are two industry nights March 1 and March 8 at 8pm

BUT EVERY NIGHT IS INDUSTRY RATE!
    $15 general admission
$10 industry and students ("Industry" meaning artists, performers (including comedians) and service industry)

In the future, on a space ship orbiting a star set to explode at any minute, three clones named Marika are throwing a theme party. At the party there's an angst-y psychic, a fighter pilot & his party animal best friend, a time traveler in search of the girl of his dreams, a shape-shifter, a bounty hunter, an escaped convict, and the galaxy's last living rock lobster. In the style of 1980s teen movies (and set to the tune of new-wave dance hits), these characters are all trying to find their match, their identity, and real human connections in a world of technology... all before the star explodes.

    Tickets can be purchased HERE

I play the fighter pilot guy. The whole thing is a lot of fun. A breezy hour and twelve minutes with no intermission, and the theatre has a bar and is BYOB. If you're looking to check out some storefront theatre from a scrappy upstart company, look no further than right here.

Just look at what AST-ers are saying about our past performances...

"I had a great time watching you two fellow ASTers do PCP and your cast was wonderful...You have a talented group of people there and I hope to see more in the future" -Jay Patrick Spaulding

"This is going to be a good show. Not that I'm in it, or anything. " - Alex Kliner

So if you're thinking about going, send me a PM and I'll make sure you get hooked up with that industry rate.

It was good to see you guys as well. I had a great time and I'm glad that your group is into fun and experimental type theater. I regretted not hanging out with you guys the minute I got home but I'm pretty sure I'm almost out of "drunk driving free passes."

I'm usually at El Troipcal (3933 N Sheridan) or what the comedians call it, "Tropico", late on Thursday nights. I'll let Bobby know next time I'm there or maybe I'll just tweet it up!

5$ PBR's w whiskey shots make Tropico and worth while destination on Thursdays

Re: Lights Out Theatre Company presents UNI KEG STAND II: Return of the Fundraiser

CALLING ALL FRIENDS OF THE UNICORN.

Lights Out Theatre Company would like to officially invite YOU to come party with us on Monday, June 14 starting at 6:30pm, at the Lincoln Tap Room (3010 N. Lincoln).

    Why?

Do you really need a good reason to party with the Lights Out Theatre Company?

    Fine.

We're celebrating the one-year anniversary of the last LOTC fundraiser which let us bring you quality theatre programming such as One Night Stand, MooseHumps: A Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Halloween Play, Poverty Christmas Pageant, and Song for a Future Generation. So, in that spirit of celebration, we will provide you with beer, pizza, cupcakes, tons of amazing raffle prizes, and a whole lot more, all for the recession friendly price of $15. That's right, all the beer you can drink, pizza you can eat, prizes you can win, and laughs and memories you can share for the price of a movie ticket (...plus a child's movie ticket).

    Still not convinced?

Monday, June 14 is also FLAG DAY, and we're pretty certain that we're going to be the only FLAG DAY PARTY in Cook County! Even more, Uni Keg Stand II: Return of the Fundraiser is the only OFFICIALLY LICENSED 25th Birthday of LOTC Executive Artistic Director, Alex Kliner. So, whether you're a fan of Lights Out Theatre Company, the American Flag, or R. Alex Kliner (for whatever reason), Uni Keg Stand II is the party for you.

Tickets are $15 and will be available soon from your favorite LOTC company member of from any INTERNET™-equipped computer at www.lightsouttheatre.org. Buy in advance and you'll even receive a FREE RAFFLE TICKET to get your June 14 festivities started. Of course, tickets will also be available for $15 at the door the day of the party.

And now, some videos made in promotion of this event:
(I more or less conceived and directed these. Enjoy?)
