About the Instructor

Melissa Cathcart is an Ensemble and Faculty member of ComedySportz Chicago, where she is also an Artistic Associate. She improvises with Mike Helicopter at iO Theater, Space Robbers at The Playground Theater, and the hip-hop/improv hybrid The BEATBOX on the road and at venues throughout Chicago. Melissa is fortunate to have performed and taught at theatre and improv festivals across the United States, Canada, Scotland and Ireland. During her three year tenure as the Director of The Playground Theater’s Incubator Program she has facilitated dozens of improv auditions.
