Chicago Underground Comedy will be staging a special audition showcase for the much-anticipated new Chicago incarnation of the legendary Just For Laughs festival at 8:00 p.m. Saturday March 28th, in the upstairs performance space at the Beat Kitchen (2100 W. Belmont, near Damen), in Chicago.

In this special 90 minute show, 8 comedians will perform 7 minutes of their best material. The show will feature outstanding Chicago comedians hand-picked by Just For Laughs scouts, including Adam Burke, Sean Flannery, Prescott Tolk, Mike Sheehan, Dan Telfer, Allison Leber, Ricky Carmona, Jeff Hansen, Aaron Foster, and CJ Sullivan.

The original Montreal Just For Laughs festival, which attracts top comedy talent worldwide, celebrated its 25th year in 2007. The new five-day summer 2009 Chicago Just For Laughs festival is slated to include a TBS special hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, a series of big-name stand-up concerts, standout improv and sketch shows, Latino and urban comedy highlights, and various events at local comedy clubs.

The Beat Kitchen is a 21-and-over club and this show is FREE.
