Hey Chicago screenwriters, Screenwriting Instructor/Consultant Pilar Alessandra is coming to Chicago to teach a writing intensive May 2, 10:00 – 4:00 at Columbia College. Pilar is well known in the screenwriting world for her effective, ten-minute “get it on the page” writing tools. She’s a former senior-story analyst for DreamWorks and teaches at conferences all over the country. A Special Thing’s Matt Belknap is a producer for her weekly podcast ON THE PAGE (iTunes, weekly) which covers the craft and business of screenwriting. And, though she is reluctant to admit it, she is also the wife of Never Not Funny’s own Pat Francis.
