Just thought I'd split this from the Open Mic thread.
So, Kevin, what do you do at CAN TV? Are you going to hook us all up with shows or what?

Whoa. I almost missed this thread.
So i took the first step and went to the orientation meeting. The next orientation is February the 14th, at 11am at 322 South Green. You have to attend orientation to progress any further towards being certified to borrow equipment and produce shows. After orientation you can start taking classes though CANTV about video production. There are a lot of classes and they are kinda expensive. So if you feel you already know what your doing, you can pay 50 bucks and take a proficency exam to become certified. The next proficiency exam is Wed. February 11th from 6-8pm or you could go on the 20th from 10:30-12:30, after going to the orientation on 2/14. Orientation lasts abou an hour and if you get tnere early parkings a cinch. Ask the about the proficiency exam at orientation and stick around long enough to sign the form that says you attended. You have to send them a ten dollar deposit to take the exam. For more details call their training center at 312 738 1400.
I would love to give you all jobs Frozen Bear and by that I mean that when i get certified i would be glad if anyone in Chicago would want to volunteer their time and ideas towards producing a completely nutrageous tv show. Get at me.

I minored in radio/TV so I'm definitely interested in this.

But no dalmations! I do NOT work with fucking Dalmations! They steal focus every time!
I think a talk show would be really fun. we could do sketches and have musical acts, do interviews, and have an opening monologue, in that order. does anyone have any ideas for interviews(besides dogs) what about ideas for the name of the show? I was thinking "Big Chicago Butts"

^ I like that. It sounds like a show about transgenger latinos!
I think we should find the biggest idiots around, and give them very straight-forward interviews. I am talking about super-uneducated, overly-opinionated, ignorant sacks of shit. Maybe the occasional homeless conspiracy theorist. Sex-tips from crack whores? Religious zealots? Maybe a segment called "Ask a Jehovah's Witness." Take an Amish person to Chuck E. Cheese. Perhaps an interview segment in a bathtub.
I like where youre going with this. Mc Dunnas Wedn. or OHagans Thurs. Be there.

Let's cum inside of a hat and put it on an old person's head.
This could go on the inspirational channel.
This could be the new inspirational channel. There should be a segment where we take all of life's serious questions, and appeal to a magic 8 ball to tell people how to live their lives. "Is my boyfriend cheating on me with my sister?" "All signs point to yes."
What if we got everyone that has made a "CONTRA MOVIE" Trailer in one room together. Or Skype it. There are quite a few of them*.

Remember this thread?
So we have to make a 15 minute pilot in order to be able to use their equipment or reserve a date and time that the show will air so this is what we have so far.
More to come!

I'm at the end.
thanks for the update.

I'm excited to watch you buttheads. Which way do I point my rabbit ears on my television to view this? (What channel do I find CANTV on Comcast?)
