AUDITIONS FOR CSZ REC LEAGUE – 3rd YEAR!

Hey Chicago,

Summer is fast-approaching and, at The ComedySportz Theatre, that means the return of Rec League!!!!

Improvisers and Improv-Students are encouraged to try out their short-form chops by auditioning to be a part of this exciting summer-long program!

AUDITIONS:
Tuesday, May 4th and Wednesday, May 5th
Slots available 7p, 8p, and 9p each night

(Performers should arrive 15 minutes before their block and be prepared to stay for the entire hour following the audition's start.)

To participate, you must be available for callbacks on Monday, May 10th, from 7p-10p at the theater.

What's the format? Each team will have a coach assigned from the ComedySportz ensemble who will direct their team in the creation of a new 25 min short-form show. (You will not be performing ComedySportz, but instead will apply the same principles that make ComedySportz great to your own show.)

When will we play? Rec League alternate taking the stage on Wednesdays with slots ranging from 7p-8:30p throughout the Summer, as part of ComedySportz’s Free Night of Comedy, running June 9th through September 1st.

What am I required to do? You will have the responsibilities to your team and coach common to most Chicago improv teams. Additionally, you will need to help promote the show. (It doesn't work without an audience.) Complete responsibilities will be listed in your audition form – if you see anything that concerns you, just let us know!
