Sound Fix Records to Host TOM McCAFFREY’s CD Release Party on Friday, September 5
8/14/08 - BROOKLYN – ItTakesALotToLaugh Productions is proud to announce the New York City release of Tom McCaffrey’s full-length comedy album, Lou Diamond Phillips?. You can be among the first to receive Tom’s highly anticipated debut at the CD release show, to be held at Sound Fix Records on Friday, Sept. 5th at 8:00 PM.
Recorded live in front of a packed 4/20 audience at Pianos, Lou Diamond Phillips? showcases McCaffrey at his best, containing over 50 minutes of previously unreleased original stand-up comedy from the New York-based writer and comedian.
With nearly 10 years of performing experience under his belt and recurring appearances on Comedy Central, VH1, and Animal Planet to his credit, McCaffrey has built up a national following and a sterling reputation as one of the most consistently funny working comics in the business. Fans who have been clamoring for more since hearing his set on Comedy Central Records’ Invite Them Up CD/DVD compilation will be richly rewarded with 32 tracks of pure, unadulterated Tom.
On his first full-length offering, McCaffrey tackles today’s biggest issues – Ralph Macchio, Matthew Broderick, and the titular Mr. Diamond Phillips – while taking idiomatic expressions to task along the way. No one is safe from McCaffrey’s sarcastic wit and sharp tongue, not even a retail giant like JC Penney, or Tom’s four year-old niece who’s so stupid she doesn’t know what an arm is. And if you’re a homeless, insane person who just pissed your pants, listener discretion is advised.
Scheduled to join Tom on stage at the backroom of Sound Fix Records as he celebrates the release of his CD are local favorites Dan Curry, Roger Hailes, Greg Johnson, Jacqueline Novak, Jesse Popp, and Kenny Zimlinghaus. For the ten dollar admission, you will be treated to a killer show, a copy of Tom’s album, and an open bar from 8-9 PM.
A national, digital release will follow on October 14th.
