Sleepwalk with Me, anyone seen it?

I want to hear some opinions from fellow comedy fans. I was thinking of going to this but the steep price tag will most likely mean no one I know will want to go.
So I might still make it but I wanted to hear from someone who went.

Also, any news as to who is the Awkward 10 minutes guest can go here.

I've seen it. I thought it was terrific. But it's a tricky situation because I had seen Birbiglia do the core of the story 3-4 times before, usually at the UCB theater for nothing or $5. If you can get a cheaper ticket, maybe $30, I'd recommend it. It's longer than anything else I've ever seen him do, and completely unified and as "worked out" as a "bit" can ever be. He gets more than an hour out of ONE basic situation/problem. I think anyone who likes standup should see this just for that reason, and also to see how a standup can tweak his work to fit into a "theater" framework.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking that it would be amazing and enlightening in a way that stand-up isn't always.

This is the rub with seeing comedy in LA/NY. Sometimes I wish that comedy shows weren't so ramshackle, but you get used to free-$5 shows that seeing a fully worked out and fleshed out show like a Louis CK Town Hall show or this can seem overly expensive. But in the end its worth it usually. Alternative showcases can be awesome, but the hour long sets I've seen from PFT and Louis are the best comedy experiences I've had.

By the way, I'm in the same "no one I know will pay for this", so if anyone wants to make a nice awkward night of it I'm in.

guys, there are 25 dollar rush tickets

and by the way, theater has been interesting b/c i've discovered that no one really makes money on it, b/c there are set designers, lighting designers, a director, producers- so many people are involved that even though the ticket is high, no one cashes in. that said, i hope people come, b/c it's the show i'm most proud of.

Yeah, steeper ticket prices are the price you pay to see great work sometimes. I saw Birbigs workshop this at UCB and it's really great to see him tackling deeper subject matter and creating a real narrative. It's funny for sure, but it's also great storytelling. If you like the direction of "What I Should Have Said Was Nothing," you'll dig it.

It's for cheaper tickets, try looking on Goldstar. All the dates have expired as of now, but more tickets may pop up again.

I saw it during an NYC visit, and it was excellent. Worth the money, even with the Canadian exchange rate. A very unique show.
