Hey Psychologist...Thursday: We're All Friends Here at The Slipper Room (I'm biased but it'll be fun). Also good: Greg Johnson's show at Piano's on Sunday and Whiplash at UCB on Monday, both always have strong lineups.

I'll be visiting from Thursday to Sunday, so I've been researching this for weeks. There's not much going on comedy-wise this weekend. You could always see Death By Roo Roo (though most of the group recently moved to LA) or see an ASSCAT (both @ UCB). Keep in mind that the NYC marathon will be all day through and around the entire city on Sunday, so stick to the subways to avoid road closures.

    TEARING THE VEIL OF MAYA
    SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2 / 8PM comedy
    with EUGENE MIRMAN & friends
$7 : tickets are available at the door

    The Comedy Cellar
This site's lineups are posted at the last minute, so I don;t know who will be performing this weekend, but it looks like Dan Mintz will be ther Thursday, so that's promising.
    I'M GOIN TO SHABOOMS!!!!

    Hey there!
I'd suggest checking out "DTMT presents: The Lil' Seany Boy Show!" which is a really fun, free show at Ochi's Lounge. (Downstairs in Comix comedy club on 14th St. and 9th Ave.) Great new lineup this Sat Nov 1 at 7pm.
Take a look at our films at www.DontTouchMeThere.com, and if you enjoy those come check out the show Saturday. Either way have a great trip!

    Sunday

    Monday, aka Election Eve
Comedy Central at Crash Mansion on the Bowery ($5), with Indecision2008 presenting Host: Jessi Klein, Robert Kelly, Myq Kaplan, Michael Weingartner, Reese Waters, Greg Giraldo
At the Slipper Room on the Lower East Side, Jon Friedman presents "The Last Chance Election Humor Show," with Seth Herzog, Mike Albo, Gabe & Jenny, Olde English, Matt Goldich, Erin Hall, Sara Schaefer, Jesse Popp, Nick Turner, Rob Lathan, Adam Wade, Megan Ganz, Ann Carr, Eliot Glazer, Claudia Cogan, Joselyn Hughes, Stuckey & Murray, Eliza Skinner, Livia Scott, Gabriel Delahaye, Sarah Walker and more. Monday's lineup at the UCB includes Mike Birbiglia, a Palin family revue, and Leo Allen's free late-night showcase, Whiplash.
There's Liam McEneaney's Tell Your Friends in the basement of Lolita bar in the Lower East Side, which is free.
If you really want to get political, Lizz Winstead's Shoot the Messenger also has a "Wake Up World" election eve special with bloggers Jane Hamsher (Firedoglake), Eric Boehlert (salon.com, Media Matters) and Lee Papa (The Rude Pundit)

Wednesday also is the start of the New York Comedy Festival, so there will be a bunch of shows throughout the city that night, too.

And that's leaving out the aforementioned show plugs in this thread as well as plenty of other shows going on this weekend. Enjoy!

    Also, at Comix:

Thursday's lineup includes Arj Barker, Wyatt Cenac, Joe Devito, Ophira Eisenberg, and Costaki Economopoulos
Saturday, Richard Belzer performs with a backing band, The Belzonics. Last time, Paul Shaffer made an appearance.

    So there's that, too.
