Show description:
Needless to say comedian Marc Maron did not handle being left by his second wife gracefully. Scorching the Earth explores the concepts of love, need, hate, sex, anger, as well as the choice between humility and bitterness. And cats lots of cats. In Marons words: "When you're an asshole and your wife leaves you, there's a part of you that thinks, 'Good for her. That took a lot of guts to leave me. I'm a little jealous. I've been trying to leave me for years. I had her convinced that this intense mixture of neediness, hostility and fear of abandonment was passion. Now, the jig is up.' Marc Maron is a veteran stand-up comedian, social critic and talk show host. Hes released two albums, Not Sold Out and Tickets Still Available and has two Comedy Central stand-up specials. Hes currently the co-host of Air Americas Maron V Seder and is the author of the book The Jerusalem Syndrome: My Life as a Reluctant Messiah. His third album, Final Engagement is scheduled for release in 2009.
