Pop Genius is an audience interactive gameshow that tests your knowledge of pop culture. Host Paul Scheer (MTV's Human Giant) is searching for a pop culture genius, an expert on everything from Condi Rice to Bo Bice to the Wendy's Triple Stack. Think you know Brad Bird from Robert Byrd? Katherine Heigl from Rob Smigel? Prove it! See clips played form pop culture, and you have to guess how they end. Your only hints come from comedians Matt Besser, Andy Richter, Jimmy Pardo & Danielle Schneider.

At the top of the show, Paul Scheer asks the audience, "who thinks they're cool? stand up. This is also a good way of finding out who's a douchebag."

After asking the volunteers questions like, "Name one Huey Lewis Album", "Name a character in Charlotte's Web" and "What is the nerdiest item you have?" The standing audience members are whittled down to 2, leaving us with our contestants of the night.


They compete for the Russell Simmons biography, "Do You?"


Our panelists, Pardo, Schneider, Besser and Richter.


The game is played by showing an excerpt of a video clip, and the contestants must guess how the clip ends, with the help of the panelists.
In this round, they must guess what Natalie Portman's favorite curse word is.. which happens to be "your mother's vagina".


Richter and Besser help by providing the clues:
"It's a popular place to visit" and "I was just there last night."
Our contestant sincerely guesses, "anus?"

I love how seriously Jimmy is taking the game in the last picture, totally unaffected by whatever was making the rest of the panel crack up.
